The debate as to which is better will continue to rage, with some swearing by the latter. With less certainty, I wondered if the flavor wasnt as bright as it used to be. A little bit of lemon or mustard or onion or garlic flavor in the background wasn't a dealbreaker, but none of those things could be too dominate since we want our mayonnaise to be equally at home in a potato salad or an emergency chocolate cake.
